You are required by law to file an annual Statement of Economic Interests with the County Clerk if:

  • You are an elected or appointed official with any unit of government
  • You are a candidate for elected office

Notices and forms will be mailed by the County Clerk to all units of local government within the county in January each year. One reminder notice will be mailed to individuals who have not filed by May 1st.

There are monetary penalties for not filing.

All Statements of Economic Interests are public information and are on file at the County Clerk’s office.

Anyone who files the statement may be issued a receipt upon request.
